At first I thought, oh, simple mistake. I can see the confusion, but not really. Hugh Jackman’s the main star as Wolverine as it’s his story.

Then after seeing this a few days later, I thought, fucking interns. Or women. There’s no way a man could fuck something like this up.

What I get from this video video is that Catwoman takes Batman’s bicycle out for a joy ride while he showers up after she had sex with him and she smashes it into a $500,000 camera of which they only have maybe 5 of in the entire world.  To top it all off no one is to blame.  I’m gonna just go ahead and steal a car, smash it into a Lamborghini Gallardo and say, There’s no one to blame so let’s just put it all behind us.”  That should work.  Whelp, I guess we can scratch off seeing Two Face make an appearance because I’m pretty sure the 500k is not going into the special effects budget.

Monkey see, monkey wow! Rise of the Planet of the Apes earned $54 million at North American theaters, according to early studio estimates, to win the box office weekend. That’s a decent amount for a summer action movie: just above Green Lantern‘s $53.2 million and below X-Men: First Class‘s $55.1 million, for 10th place among the 15 top weekend openers since late April. But it’s a sensational figure for a movie that industry savants had forecast would bow to less than $40 million. Flinging those predictions against the multiplex walls like so much feces, Rise attracted audiences from all demographics and a luminous A-minus rating from CinemaScore’s survey of exiting moviegoers.

Preoccupied with Rise, the theater-going public kept its filthy paws off The Change-Up, starring mild-man Jason Bateman switching bodies with wild-man Ryan Reynolds. The season’s latest, lamest R-rated comedy premiered to a weenie $13.5 million to finish in fourth place, behind last week’s photo finishers, The Smurfs (holding well at $21 million) and Cowboys & Aliens (collapsing like a drunk in a Western saloon with just $15.8 million). Other potty-brained farces have bloomed this season — The Hangover Part II earned $253.3 million at North American theaters, Bridesmaids took in $166.4 million, Horrible Bosses $105.2, and Bad Teacher $97.5 million — but the turgid returns for Friends With Benefits and Change-Up suggested that, after a busy summer, the fanciers of gross-out comedies are all grossed out.

I’m not going to lie to you when I say that this movie was bad ass.  Better than I expected.  I highly recommend it.  Whelp, that’s it for summer movies.  What else comes out?  Nothing.  Go check out this movie and you won’t be disappointed.  You could also be a dumbs and pass on this to see The Smurfs.  Yeah, that sounds smart.

First-Look-Anne-Hathaway-As-Catwoman
I am not sure if this is real or not but if it is I am pissed that Christopher Nolan is shy away from the leather bikini outfit used in the Halle Berry Catwomen movie. Anne Hathaway in a bikini would help me forget that this movie won’t have The Joker in it. It’d also make me excited in the pants. Win-Win.

Batman vs. Bane - Dark Knight Rises

I told myself I wasn’t going to follow any of the Dark Knight Rises stuff that comes out seeing the movie isn’t set to release for a year but you can see how simple it is for me to give into temptation. Just a little Batman vs. Bane to fulfill your need until the next bit of information is leaked.

LOS ANGELES – ”Cowboys & Aliens” had the heft of two popular genres going for it.

The film, one of the most expensive movies to be released this year, also boasted two Hollywood A-listers in veteran actors Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig. It was executive produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by “Iron Man’s” Jon Favreau, who in recent weeks has been exhaustively promoting the movie. And it was received well by the fanboy audience at Comic-Con International in San Diego, where it premiered late last month.

Despite all that, the film opened to disappointing ticket sales this weekend. In a surprise, “The Smurfs” – a critically panned live-action/computer-animated hybrid movie based on characters that originated more than 50 years ago – grossed far more than pre-release polling had indicated. As a result, on Sunday the studios behind the pictures estimated that each film would collect $36.2 million domestically by weekend’s end. Meanwhile, the weekend’s other new wide release, the adult romantic comedy “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” brought in a decent $19.3 million.

An action packed movie with both Daniel Craig and Indiana Jones, and you couldn’t beat the frigin’ Smurfs?  Are you kidding me? I guess it’s only right to give them a tie because they’re both getting bad reviews. I mean how the hell is it possible that each film will get $36.2 million? Don’t you think it was give or take a couple hundred thousand?  Not possible.

Filming on the sequel to Sylvester Stallone’s 2010 all-star action movie The Expendables is set to begin in September, and now rumors are starting to swirl about what action heavyweights will be along for the ride this time around. Shooting will be taking place in Bulgaria, and the CEO of Bulgaria-based NU Boyana studios David Varod recently dropped some huge names when listing the cast for The Expendables 2 to Novinite: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, John Travolta, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke and Bruce Willis.

We expected Stallone, Statham, Lundgren and Rourke to return, but this is the first time we’ve heard of Travolta, Norris and Vam Damme’s involvement (Stallone has been wanting Schwarzenegger and Willis to return for a while). However, just because Varod listed them off doesn’t mean all of these actors mentioned are definitely in the film. Hit the jump for more.

If you thought the first Expendables movie was a total mangasm then you have no idea what you are in for with this cast.  Some people might end up going on a murderous rampage when they see this ultra violent, ultra celebrity packed film.

I feel like Hollywood is long overdue for multi-celebrity film.  The only one that I can think of before the first Expendables was Ocean’s Eleven with all those actors but that wasn’t a blood thirsty, ass kicking film. Thank God they are coming out with The Avengers.  If Hollywood does it right, which I’m skeptical on how the Hulk will be, then that should hold us over until The Expendables 2.

LOS ANGELES — And now we know the spell for raining cash.

Harry Potter and his wizarding friends ended their decade-long film career by selling a staggering $476 million in tickets around the world over the weekend, breaking major box office records and leaving Hollywood executives shell-shocked.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” the first film in the series to be released in premium-priced 3-D, sold $168.6 million in tickets in North America alone — the biggest opening weekend in history, not adjusting for inflation. “The Dark Knight” previously held that record with $158.4 million, according to Hollywood.com, which compiles ticketing data.

“Deathly Hallows: Part 2” also set a new high-water mark for the biggest one-day box office haul; this well-reviewed movie took in over $92 million on Friday in North America, including $43.5 million at midnight screenings, surpassing the $72.7 million generated by “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” in 2009. Imax theaters also broke sales records.

Well that just sucks.  Can’t say I’m happy about The Dark Knight being pushed down the list.  I thought that was going to stay at the top for a long ass time.  I blame the theaters charging $15 a ticket.  No wonder why all these movies are breaking records.

The Evil Dead remake has been confirmed today, with Oscar winning screenwriter Diablo Cody on hand to give the script a finishing touch. On Tuesday, news came through that the Evil Dead franchise was to resurface but it was uncertain if this would be in the shape of a fourth instalment or a remake.

Diablo Cody is the latest name to be attached to the project, joining the new director Federico Alvarez. In a press release producers Sam Raimi – pictured below – Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell said: “We are committed to making this movie and are inspired by the enduring popularity and enthusiasm for the Evil Dead series.”

“We can’t wait to scare a new generation of moviegoers using filmmaking techniques that were not available to us thirty years ago as well as Fede [director Federico Alvarez] bringing a fresh eye to the film’s original elements.”

The Evil Dead series is one of the best cult classics out there.  Sam Raimi did an amazing job especially under a low budget.  Come on now, Bruce Campbell was hilarious and YES Duke Nukem got his one-liners from these movies. I know Diablo Cody won an Oscar for writing Juno but I’m still kind of skeptical on what she will write.  That was her first stab at writing a script and ever since then she’s done Jennifer’s Body and a Children’s Hospital episode.  I hope Hollywood doesn’t botch this one.  If you have doubts, most likely they will.
